Welcome to our website.
We are affiliated with The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for Key Women Educators located throughout the U. S., Canada, Europe and Japan. DKG is headquartered in Austin, Texas and the Eta State/NC Organization is located in Asheboro, NC.
Gamma Tau, a local chapter is located in Franklin County NC, northeast of Raleigh, the capital, and is part of Region III. We currently have active members who are dedicated to committees, beginning teachers hired in Franklin County Schools as well as our community.
Gamma Tau expanded from Xi Chapter, which included Vance, Franklin, Granville, and Warren Counties NC and was chartered September 26, 1981.
Our meetings are held four times a year at local elementary, middle, high schools, The FCS Board of Education and Louisburg College. Our last meeting includes an annual awards banquet designed to recognize achievements for the year by members. It was created in March 2012 by our Past President (2012-2014), Hilda A. Parlér as one of her many goals to strengthen the chapter.
